What did you learn about yourself (as a person) as a result of participating in this class (good and bad);
Mobile learning was a term that I wasn’t knew a lot about it, but through this course I learned meaningful information about it and new technologies and its educational usages to provide a clear and suitable education for student in this age. After that I learned that I can do it I can use different kind of technology and employed it to help my learners to reach the best educational result. I learned about myself that I can speak technology and understand it.
What did you learn about being a teacher from creating your products;
Technology gives us many options that can help teachers to deliver information in different methods. Learning about these varieties of methods can open doors of creativities to provide to my learners education in this age language which is technology. It helps me to reach my students needs through technology products, and I believe that technology become one of students needs in this age.
What you are most proud of as a result of doing your products;
I am proud of everything that I have learned. There are many tools, devices, and applications that I wasn’t sure about it usage, such as MP3 players, audio files editing, chrome apps or eBooks which are can contribute to facilitate education in a meaningful way. But now I have enough information about these tools and I believe that it can help me to provide a meaningful education to my learners in future.
What you would do differently next time you use technology;
I believe that every technology tool can be a useful educational tool. Every day we have a new tool or device. I need to be updated my information about any new tool and understand its educational usage, because every age have a different technology and being update about any new technology will help me to meet my student through the current technology of the current age.
What you are most concerned about with using technology and how you will overcome obstacles with technology;
Every tool has pros and cons. My concern about technology is immoral uses of it. To deal with this we need to well educate our self about the tool then educate our students about these immoral uses and its consequences. Also we need to build a good relationship between parents and school to involve them to help in overcome these obstacles. The lack of devices is also one of the obstacles with using technology. I believe the BYOD bring your own device method can be a solution or this one.
What you are most concerned about with teaching and how you will overcome obstacles;
My concern with teaching that there is no single method of teaching suited for all learners needs. Overcome that is through educate myself and keep learning to cope with the development of education. Also, to gain experiences and new methods that can help me reach my learners minds and deliver information in the way that fit with my learners needs.
What you are most excited or intrigued about with regards to using technology;
Technology is one of the ways that can help facilitate learning for typical people, but technology help to open doors of education for people with special needs. As special education teacher technology can give me different styles of learning that can help me to teach my students in the way that fit with their needs.
What you are most excited or intrigued about with teaching;
I learned new teaching styles through technology. And I am very excited to use my new teaching style with my students and share these styles with my colleagues
Which century will you teach in--the twentieth or twenty-first and what indicators will be present that most epitomize your classroom?
The technology provides us different method, tools, and devices. When I was student the only technology that was at that time was the overhead projector and it impressed me. I promise I will not use it because I know how to create Prezi for presentation, I can create videos and edit them, I know many applications that can be use in different tablet devices and Smart phones for educational purposes. I am teacher from the twenty-first century.
What difference will you make?
I will deliver what I learned to my school through using all the new methods that I learned with my students. I will try to make presentations to my colleagues about using technology in education. I will share everything and keep learning to help in improving the education in my country Saudi Arabia.
